It’s Sunday morning, and that means that the entire kamp gets coffee cake.
It's that time again, new kampers have arrived! The staff is beyond excited for them to finally be here, and have been fervently prayerful for the upcoming couple of weeks. The next 2-4 weeks are going to be an absolute blast, and kampers will have the chance to make some amazing new friends and grow closer to God. Every day will be full to the brim with adventure and excitement as campers engage in activities, parties, worship, and great food!
As kampers arrived today, they were greeted with huge smiles from excited counselors. They were then checked in and assigned to a cabin. Before the kampers are brought to their home for the next few weeks, they get to go through a fun obstacle course throughout kamp. The obstacle course consisted of shooting a basketball, throwing a football, minigolf and many more games.
After kampers got settled in at their cabins, they were free to explore kamp and have some fun at many activites, such as zipline, party barn, basketball courts and the pool. Kampers' laughing and smiling could be heard and seen from the front gate all the way down to the dock! Old friends were able to reunite, and new friendships began.
The evening fun started out with a picnic for the entire kamp, and everyone left with full stomachs and happy hearts. We then went into cabin cheers and fun games to get to know one another. After the cheers and games were done, kampers headed into the first KLIFE of the term. KLIFE is a time in which kampers get to dance, get hype, watch funny skits, engage in worship, and open up God's Word. After hearing a message, the kampers quickly headed to the dining hall for a late night snack before going back to their cabins for night time devotionals with their counselors.
The next few weeks are going to be an incredible time for kampers to learn, grow in their faith, and have a blast while doing it. If you would like to keep up with all of the action, be sure to follow K2 on Instagram and Twitter.
